As Member of Parliament for Scarborough-Guildwood, I want to extend to you my very best wishes as you celebrate Diwali.

During this festival of lights, Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains gather with family to celebrate the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance.

These are values that are shared by all Canadians, regardless of faith. Our desire to build a better world together unites us as one people—not in spite of our differences, but because of them.

In Mandirs and Gurdwaras across Canada—as you pray and celebrate family and faith—please accept my best wishes for a happy and memorable Diwali.
